A new national web based system, Talent Retention Solution (TRS), will help match skilled employees facing redundancy to UK companies in growing sectors of advanced manufacturing and engineering who are recruiting, Minister for Business Mark Prisk announced today.

From September 2011, young people who need some financial support to help them stay in education or training after 16 can apply to their school, college or training provider for the new 16 to 19 Bursary Fund.

The most in need will be eligible for a bursary of £1200 a year. This includes young people in care, care leavers, young people receiving both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance. Young people eligible for income support will include some teenage parents, young people estranged from their families, and those whose parents have died.

The new guide for course starting Autumn 2011 is now available for collection.

Colchester Institute covers Colchester, Braintree and Tendring, with courses offered at a variety of locations and specialist facilities.

The Adult Community Learning Course Directory for Autumn 2011 in Colchester Tendring and surrounding areas is now available. Directories can be collected from the Wilson Marriage Centre or The Colchester Learning Shop.

Many courses get booked up very quickly so to avoid disappointment enrol early.
