Information and Advice
You can seek general advice on learning and education in the area by dropping in to the shop, telephoning (01206) 368444 or make an email enquiry. Staff will endeavour to carry out all the necessary research within three working days. Where this is not possible you will be regularly kept up-to-date with the research being done.
Leaflets, prospectuses and brochures
The shop holds a range of up-to-date leaflets, prospectuses and brochures from local learning establishments for you to take away or read whilst in the shop.
- INFORMATION SHEETS are available on various subject areas e.g financial assistance, free on line courses CV writing and more.
- RESEARCH SHEETS are available listing providers of training for a particular career/job and will include local establishments and home study alternatives.
- MINI CAREER PACKS are available providing information on routes into the most popular careers and opportunities for training.
There is no charge to take information away.
Some of the information is available in audio, Braille and large print. If you require information in a format other than that held in the shop, the learning establishment that provides the information will be contacted to see if they can supply the information in another language or format.
One-to-one advice
One-to-one Advice Sessions of approximately 1/2 hour duration are available for customers at designated times each week or alternatively we can refer you for an appointment with the local Nextsteps service at an Essex Adult Community Learning Centre
